Do I need to connect Xero to use this feature?
Yes. You must connect your Xero account via Integrations > Xero in the Round dashboard.

Is the Xero sync two-way?
Yes.

  • Round → Xero (push): Available on all plans

  • Xero → Round (pull): Available on premium plans only


Ingesting Invoices

How do invoices get into Round from Xero?
If 2-way sync is enabled, Round will automatically fetch open invoices from Xero.

Can I add invoices directly into Round instead?
Yes — and we recommend it. You can ingest invoices by:

  • Forwarding them to your unique Round mailbox

  • Clicking + Upload invoices

  • Dragging and dropping files into the Invoices screen

Where do ingested invoices appear?
In the Unpaid tab on the Invoices screen.


Paying Invoices

How do I pay an invoice in Round?

  1. Open the invoice from the Invoices screen

  2. Review/edit details and resolve any advisories

  3. Click Finish

  4. Choose:

    • Source of funds

    • Payment date

  5. Pay, schedule, or send for approval

Can I pay multiple invoices at once?
Yes. Select multiple invoices using the checkboxes to create a batch and process them together.

Can I schedule payments for later?
Yes — you can choose a future payment date during confirmation.

Can I send invoices for approval instead of paying immediately?
Yes — invoices (or batches) can be sent through your approvals workflow.


Managing Invoices

Where do paid or scheduled invoices appear?
In the Paid tab.

Can I mark an invoice as paid manually?
Yes — from the Unpaid tab using the three-dot menu.

Can I edit or delete invoices?
Yes, but only while they are in the Unpaid tab:

  • Use the three-dot menu for individual invoices

  • Use bulk actions for multiple invoices

Can I cancel a scheduled payment?
Yes — from the Paid tab via the three-dot menu.


Syncing with Xero

Will changes sync between Round and Xero automatically?
Yes — changes made in either platform will sync.

What happens after an invoice is paid in Round?
Once paid:

  • The payment is synced to Xero

  • The invoice is automatically marked as paid in Xero

Can I still edit invoices in Xero after paying them in Round?
Only partially. Paid invoices become largely immutable, with only limited fields remaining editable in Xero.


Troubleshooting

Why can’t I see my Xero invoices in Round?
Likely reasons:

  • 2-way sync is not enabled (premium feature)

  • Xero is not properly connected

  • There are no open invoices in Xero

Why can’t I edit or delete an invoice?
Invoices can only be edited or deleted while in the Unpaid tab.
